Welcome to Crowdbyte ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at crowdbyte.ai (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

2. Accounts

You may sign up with an email and password or through a third-party provider such as Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. What Crowdbyte provides

Crowdbyte publishes AI-generated analysis of current events and public-interest topics. Articles cite sources and may include charts derived from public government datasets. The Service also offers:

Personalized article styles for subscribers
A daily email digest
The ability for users to submit prompts and community notes to update or expand articles
An MCP server for accessing content through AI assistants
An RSS feed

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

Articles on Crowdbyte are generated by large language models. While we instruct these models to be balanced, cite sources, and present competing perspectives, AI output can contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Content on Crowdbyte is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. Always verify important information through the cited sources or independent research.

5. User contributions

Users may submit prompts, article suggestions, community notes, and comments ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and incorporate it into the Service. You represent that your User Content does not violate any law or infringe on any third party's rights.

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or edit User Content at our discretion.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Crowdbyte offers a free tier and a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly at $5/month plus usage-based charges for AI prompts. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile. Access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law
Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or that constitutes harassment
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond the provided API and MCP interfaces
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Crowdbyte name, logo, and website design are our property. Article content generated by the Service may be shared and cited with attribution to Crowdbyte. Government data and third-party sources referenced in articles are subject to their own terms and licenses.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Google (authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email), and OpenRouter (AI model access). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crowdbyte and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
