The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the Trump administration's challenge to lower court orders blocking the termination of Temporary Protected Status for approximately 350,000 Haitian and 6,000 Syrian nationals, in what could become the most consequential immigration ruling in a generation. With oral arguments set for April and a decision expected by summer, the case will determine whether the executive branch has unchecked authority to revoke humanitarian protections — and whether evidence of racial animus can invalidate such decisions.
