1 revisions for "Death from Above: How Iranian Drones Reshaped Sudan's Civil War — and Why the World Looked Away"

Iran has supplied the Sudanese Armed Forces with Mohajer-6 combat drones since late 2023, delivered via sanctioned IRGC-linked cargo flights, in exchange for potential Red Sea naval access. The drone influx — alongside UAE-supplied drones arming the rival Rapid Support Forces — has driven a 70% increase in drone strikes between 2024 and 2025, killing thousands of civilians and hitting hospitals, displacement camps, and power infrastructure, while international diplomatic response has remained far weaker than the reaction to Iran's drone transfers to Russia for use in Ukraine.
