Anonymousabout 3 hours ago

A congressionally mandated federal inspection of Camp East Montana in El Paso, Texas — the nation's largest immigration detention facility — found 49 violations of detention standards, including 22 related to use of force and restraints, failures to isolate a tuberculosis-symptomatic detainee, and gaps in suicide-prevention checks. The findings come as three detainees have died at the tent facility since it opened in August 2025, and as ICE has already replaced the original $1.2 billion contractor, Acquisition Logistics LLC, with Amentum Services under a $453 million no-bid contract.
