Netflix has acquired InterPositive, the stealth AI filmmaking startup founded by Ben Affleck in 2022, in a deal valued at up to $600 million — one of the largest AI-related acquisitions in entertainment history. The 16-person company developed patented AI tools that train on a production's own footage to enable post-production enhancements like relighting, reframing, and continuity correction, and has already been used by David Fincher on an upcoming Brad Pitt film.
